Overview
Prisma Hr Omboarding System is a SaaS application that focuses in Onboarding Process, developed to help align business goals with the employee’s needs and to make process of integrating more comfortable during and even years after an employee is hired.
Research
Based on a research and interviews, I found out that excessive staff turnover not only affects your business and the performance of your workers also influences the company culture.
To be able to address the problem, I conducted user interviews to obtain information about people’s experience in the first few weeks of new job, and their thoughts about the HR system of their companies, how was their experience and what aspects are considered and which not during the onboarding process.
As there are various departments and people who need to be involved in the onboarding process, since they each have their own added value, both when setting up the onboarding process and when giving feedback.
How was your onboarding experience?
It was one of the questions I asked to employees to know about positive and negative aspects of how their first few weeks of work were.

The Key Insights that I got from my users were:
Employees get more stressed by receiving all the information together.
HR can create unrealistic expectations in new hire.
HR do not following onboarding process.
A proper onboarding keep your employees happy.
User Persona
Once I gathered the insights which I have come to know in my research I defined my user persona and problem statement.
Francesco works as Hr Manager for a Mid-Size Company.
He is 31 Years Old, holds a HR degree.
Goal
Find a way to integrating and retaining new employees to build a strong relationship with the company.
Frustations:
Prevent new employees being overwhelmed at first weeks.
He needs a Onboarding Board Tracking to follow the new hire process.
How to Increase confidentiality between peers.
What did the research reveal?
I organise the elements through an affinity diagram that help me to consolidate the information gathered from my research.
Users with Step-by-step Onboarding had better impresion of their company.
Give transparent information to co-workers can build a strong relationship with the company.
Onboarding Reduces Employee Turnover.
Create a relationship of trust between new employee and peers (More humane treatment), to increase confidentiality.

How My findings and Design are Connected?

Implementing a Buddy Program as part of your employee onboarding
Assign as a Buddy a Recently Hire. Someone who lived the experience recently. (Transparency).
Use an Onboarding Template (Step By Step) to facilitate compliance with organisational procedures and goals of your employees.

PrismaHr Project
PrismaHr is a Onboarding Software, which implements a Buddy Programme as a part of your employee Onboarding and allow you to tracking the process.
As a typical day of a Hr person, Francesco will add Tim Green as a new employee, he will assign a buddy as part of the onboarding process and differents tasks that make the process of integrating new hire more comfortable, once the process finished, Francesco will be able to see the profile of the new employee and it's task table.
Style Tile
To define the style I did Desirability testing to 6 users, the concepts I wanted to convey were calm and transparency. Colors like gray and blue in different ranges, were used to create that sensation.
Usability Testing
6 people were tested for usability during the Mid Fidelity and Hi Fidelity process to understand how they interact with the product and to identify usability issues to improve the Web-app design.

My Key Learnings From This Project
The biggest challenge of this exercise was to deal with all the users involved in the flow/task selected and prioritise the essential needs that my user had to perform to solve the problem of integrate and retain new employees.
The importance of understanding how the areas are connected in order to create a flexible product that meets their needs.
How the research conduct the prototype and User’s outcomes can be potential features that will define your product.
Usability testing is essential to understand how user interact with the product and to identify usability issues like Conflicting flows or non-intuitive buttons to be able to improve your design.
A route plan is essential in every project, to solve each instance step by step according to its importance.
